YOUTUBE MUSIC AWARDS 2015
I worked with the Autofuss team to design and animate various laser projected graphics for the Youtube Music Awards 2015 launch film. Working with robots and lasers on the same set was a truly surreal experience. After all the fog, late nights and dancing, this project turned out to be a spectacular blend of technical and creative experimentation. Check out my dance moves around 44 seconds in.

Project Stills
Laser content was created by a team of designers, engineers and various laser specialists. All elements were shot in camera via robot or steady-cam.
Behind the Scenes in Foge City
Designers, engineers, robots, high-powered lasers, cameras, actors, dance music, thick fog and late nights behind a row of control monitors.
Laser Typography
We created the various title and tunnel animations in Cinema 4D, which were then run through a laser projector and captured by a robot controlled camera.
Previs & Style Frames
I created style frames during the pitch process in order to help envision the interaction between our actors and their laser environment.
Laser Experimentation
We also experimented with automated mirrors on a breadboard to better understand how we could create typography and graphic forms with laser beams. Special thanks to Marek Michalowski for operating these bad boys!
